El director de orquesta franc\u00e9s Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth, fundador del ensemble Les Si\u00e8cles, se tom\u00f3 el tiempo de crear una playlist para <\/b>What The France<\/b><\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth ha confeccionado una <\/span>playlist<\/b> en la que incluye sus <\/span>50 canciones favoritas compuestas o interpretadas por artistas surgidos de Francia<\/b>. En su selecci\u00f3n destacan algunas obras de Bach, Debussy, Dukas, Lully, Boulez, Manoury y sorpresas, como canciones de Daniel Balavoine y de Jacques Brel. Algunas de las canciones seleccionadas honran a varios de sus colegas del grupo Ensembles Correspondances como <\/span>Pygmalion, de Raphael Pichon<\/span><\/i>\u00a0o <\/span>Le Concert de la Loge,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0de Julien Chauvin. Tambi\u00e9n encontraremos solistas reconocidos internacionalmente como el flautista Emmanuel Pahud, el clavecinista Pierre Hanta\u00ef, el pianista Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Heisser o el Cuarteto Ebene, adem\u00e1s del quinteto que \u00e9l mismo integra: Les Si\u00e8cles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth es uno de los referentes m\u00e1s carism\u00e1ticos e importantes de su generaci\u00f3n. Ha sido el Director Musical General de la ciudad de Colonia desde 2015 y el director de la \u00d3pera y de la orquesta de G\u00fcrzenich. Fue elegido como el \u201cDirector invitado principal\u201d de la London Symphony Orchestra y como artista asociado de la Filarm\u00f3nica de Par\u00eds. Tambi\u00e9n fue nombrado director art\u00edstico del Taller L\u00edrico de la ciudad de Tourcoing en 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

En 2003 cre\u00f3 el conjunto Les Si\u00e8cles, una novedosa orquesta que se caracteriz\u00f3 desde el primer momento por interpretar su repertorio en los instrumentos hist\u00f3ricos apropiados para cada obra. Con esta orquesta Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth da conciertos en todo el mundo, tocando principalmente el vasto repertorio de canciones rom\u00e1nticas en franc\u00e9s, adem\u00e1s del amplio cat\u00e1logo de ballets rusos, por supuesto, con instrumentos de \u00e9poca. La orquesta debut\u00f3 en la Filarm\u00f3nica de Berl\u00edn en 2019 con un programa emblem\u00e1tico (Rameau\/Lachenmann\/Berlioz) y con tres instrumentaciones diferentes. Les Si\u00e8cles obtuvieron en 2018 y 2019 la nominaci\u00f3n de la revista Gramophone al prestigioso premio de Orquesta del A\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n
