French 79 aterriz\u00f3 en un escenario que pens\u00f3 que era franc\u00e9s, pero ro en cuesti\u00f3n de meses, demostr\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente su potencial como artista internacional. Lo vimos cada vez m\u00e1s, pero por sobre todo lo o\u00edmos. El \u00e1lbum <\/span><b><i>Olympic<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fue furor en todo el mundo, llamando la atenci\u00f3n de muchos productores y curadores, que le dieron una nueva vida a estas canciones sint\u00e9ticas y org\u00e1nicas llev\u00e1ndolo a dar m\u00e1s de 150 conciertos, pero tambi\u00e9n vistiendo algunas de las campa\u00f1as publicitarias de prestigiosas marcas .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su segundo \u00e1lbum, <\/span><b><i>Joshua<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, estrenado en 2019, es la secuela l\u00f3gica de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Olympic<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, impregnada a\u00fan m\u00e1s por el ambiente nost\u00e1lgico de la infancia del productor y multiinstrumentista. French 79 se basa en \u201clas magdalenas de Proust\u201d, las innumerables referencias que han forjado su cultura pop, para reinventarlas y volverlas atemporales. <\/span><b>Tangerine Dream<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Kraftwerk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Soft Machine<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: estas influencias congeladas en sus cintas de video en VHS, que se han convertido en objetos de colecci\u00f3n e impregnan cada una de las piezas de este incesante viaje de ida y vuelta al futuro.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><em><b>Joshua<\/b><\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French 79 se revela. Por un lado poniendo su voz ligera y delicada en tres canciones, y por otro lado invitando a Sarah Rebecca a sublimar sus dos simples emblem\u00e1ticos \u201cWest\u201d y \u201cGirl\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cHold On\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> es una explosi\u00f3n de libertad con raigambre en la m\u00fasica disco de Giorgio Moroder y envuelta en capas vibrantes que llevan el mensaje principal de la canci\u00f3n: aferrarse a su autenticidad a toda costa. La b\u00fasqueda de la paz en medio del estruendo se palpa en las canciones <\/span><b>\u201cDriving\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y <\/span><b>\u201cProgressive\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Aunque el \u00e9xito de <\/span><b>\u201cBird\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> representa la historia de un regreso a la infancia, m\u00e1gica y misteriosa como es, con acentos sint\u00e9ticos soleados.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>El esperado regreso a los conciertos<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En los \u00faltimos meses, la fecha de su concierto en el Olympia tuvo que ser postergada hasta el viernes 22 de octubre de 2021, y su gira por Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1, prevista para el invierno de 2020, finalmente tendr\u00e1 lugar en septiembre de 2021.
