Evan Mast dej\u00f3 fluir sus instintos musicales y los canaliz\u00f3 en este \u00e1lbum debut como solista. Al escuchar las melod\u00edas de su guitarra, resplandecen de manera impresionante los peque\u00f1os momentos breassckbeat detr\u00e1s de la bater\u00eda. A veces la m\u00fasica se expande m\u00e1s, pero siempre se expresa con una intensidad y urgencia especiales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La fama de Ratatat llev\u00f3 a Mast a recorrer el mundo, lo que despert\u00f3 en \u00e9l las ganas de vivir sin ataduras. En sus propias palabras, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cme parece bastante atractivo ser extranjero, no entender un idioma ni a las personas, sentirme perdido. Esto abre nuevas posibilidades para el redescubrimiento de uno mismo. All\u00ed toc\u00f3 con su primer software de audio, us\u00f3 por primera vez un sintetizador y grab\u00f3 cuatro de estas pistas. Mast esperaba construir los momentos mel\u00f3dicos que solo pod\u00eda encontrar en peque\u00f1as partes en los \u00e1lbumes de sus m\u00fasicos de electr\u00f3nica favoritos. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEl material del comienzo de E.Vax fue una reacci\u00f3n a este descubrimiento, quer\u00eda m\u00e1s melod\u00edas en este g\u00e9nero\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, dice al respecto. La otra parte fue aprender a programar m\u00fasica en una computadora. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEstaba reaccionando al proceso de m\u00fasica por computadora y todas las posibilidades que de repente se me abrieron\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
