Wax Tailor<\/strong><\/a> acaba de presentar su nuevo \u00e1lbum, <\/span>Fishing For Accidents<\/i><\/b>, disponible desde el 10 de febrero de 2023. Este lanzamiento llega, a su vez, acompa\u00f1ado de una importante gira internacional.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEl punto de partida de este \u00e1lbum fue una frase del director Orson Welles, que evoca la noci\u00f3n de \u2018accidente\u2019 en el proceso creativo. Siempre he pensado que los accidentes son parte integral de la creaci\u00f3n y que el trabajo de un productor cinematogr\u00e1fico o discogr\u00e1fico tambi\u00e9n pasa por saber plasmarlos para hacer del accidente una intenci\u00f3n art\u00edstica. Decid\u00ed no seguir los conceptos establecidos, sino esta pauta m\u00e1s instintiva para \u2018salir a pescar accidentes\u2019\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

En esta nueva obra, Wax Tailor explora con su sampler un mundo de discos de vinilo y referencias cinematogr\u00e1ficas, blandiendo como bandera una cultura musical estampada, en la que multiplica los gui\u00f1os al s\u00e9ptimo arte en un escrito a 33 rpm y 24 im\u00e1genes por segundo. Despu\u00e9s del oscuro <\/span>The Shadow Of Their Suns<\/span><\/i>, lanzado en 2021, Tailor nos muestra con <\/span>Fishing For Accidents<\/span><\/i> su lado m\u00e1s brillante y colorido sin traicionar nunca su universo y sus convicciones. Como un buscador de talentos multireincidente, en este \u00e1lbum re\u00fane a prestigiosos invitados que van desde el hip hop (Mick Jenkins, Mr. Lif, Kuf Knotz, Lojii, Napoleon Da Legend, Ill Conscious, Voice Monet, David Bars, Mattic) hasta la escena del rock independiente. (Jennifer Charles, cantante del m\u00edtico grupo Elysian Fields y Victoria Bigelow). La portada est\u00e1 fue dise\u00f1ada por la artista japonesa Hanako Sa\u00efto (colaboradora de Tarantino en \u201cKill Bill\u201d). Con un ojo en lo retro y otro en el horizonte, Wax Tailor infunde la incandescencia de un sonido org\u00e1nico en el que destila su arte del anacronismo sonoro en una amplia y supuesta brecha entre la nostalgia y la modernidad. Con siete \u00e1lbumes de estudio en su haber, con m\u00e1s de ochocientos conciertos en todo el mundo, tras recibir numerosos premios internacionales y luego de realizar prestigiosas colaboraciones con Ghostface Killah (Wu Tang Clan), Del The Funky Homosapien (Gorillaz), Mark Lanegan, Mick Jenkins, Aloe Blacc, D -Smoke, Tricky, Sharon Jones o Lee Fields, el productor franc\u00e9s e independiente Wax Tailor confirma una vez m\u00e1s, a pesar de su discreci\u00f3n medi\u00e1tica, su influencia durante m\u00e1s de veinte a\u00f1os en la escena del electro y del hip-hop mundial.<\/span><\/p>\n

Con motivo del lanzamiento de su nueva obra, Wax Tailor ha dise\u00f1ado una playlist exclusiva para What The France en la que ha recopilado 20 de sus canciones favoritas de Francia de los a\u00f1os 60.
