Tiwony<\/b><\/a> es un cantante franc\u00e9s de reggae y dancehall, nacido en Guadalupe. Tambi\u00e9n es hijo del bajista Vicky Edimo. Debut\u00f3 junto al colectivo Influence Sound previo a unirse al conjunto Blackwarell Sound, con el que gan\u00f3 el Campeonato Maff\u00e9 Sound Systems en 2003. Desde entonces, el artista ha construido una s\u00f3lida discograf\u00eda, destac\u00e1ndose por primera vez en la banda sonora de la pel\u00edcula \u201c<\/span>Ma 6-T va cracker<\/span><\/i>\u201d en 1997, por la que recibi\u00f3 el Premio Gold Single gracias a la canci\u00f3n \u201cPas de timinik\u201d. En 2002 recibi\u00f3 el Premio Prix Sacem Guadeloupe por su canci\u00f3n titulada \u201cJah B\u00e9ni Yo\u201d. Ese mismo a\u00f1o se asoci\u00f3 con el artista veterano Typical F\u00e9f\u00e9 en los \u00e1lbumes <\/span>Double Trouble <\/span><\/i>y en el opus <\/span>Revolution<\/span><\/i>, que contiene el sencillo \u201cJamais Le Mal Ne L\u2019emporte\u201d, por el que tambi\u00e9n premiado en el Prix Sacem Guadeloupe de 2005. En solitario lanz\u00f3 varios \u00e1lbumes, entre los que se incluyen <\/span>Fly<\/i><\/b> (2007), <\/span>Viv La Vi<\/i><\/b> (2009), <\/span>Cit\u00e9 Soleil <\/i><\/b>(2011), <\/span>Dif\u00e9 Lyrical <\/i><\/b>(2012) y <\/span>Roots Rebel <\/i><\/b>(2014). Tiwony tambi\u00e9n obtuvo premios en los Victoires du Reggae de 2012 y 2013, antes de ganar el trofeo al mejor artista de Reggae en los Hit Lokal Awards de 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de permitirle viajar al extranjero y recorrer Francia, su m\u00fasica lo llev\u00f3 a actuar en el continente africano. En 2006 se present\u00f3 en Kampala (Uganda), en 2007 en Addis Abeba (Etiop\u00eda), en 2008 en Gab\u00f3n ante 80.000 personas y en 2011 en Guinea Conakry. Por fuera de su carrera como artista, Tiwony se involucr\u00f3 con organizaciones ben\u00e9ficas, entre las que podemos mencionar el proyecto con los ni\u00f1os de Thiaroye en Senegal o el World for Chad, para la construcci\u00f3n de pozos en Chad. Pero tambi\u00e9n ayud\u00f3 en la asistencia escolar de ni\u00f1os de la isla de Gor\u00e9e (Senegal) y con Dr\u00e9paction, la organizaci\u00f3n que trabaja para luchar contra la anemia falciforme.<\/span><\/p>\n

En 2023, Tiwony celebr\u00f3 sus <\/span>25 a\u00f1os de carrera<\/b> con el lanzamiento de su nuevo \u00e1lbum, llamado <\/span>Frequency<\/i><\/b>, disponible desde el 28 de abril de 2023 a trav\u00e9s del sello 7 Seals. Para este proyecto invit\u00f3 a varios artistas cercanos, como ser Ta\u00efro, Lord Kossity, Daddy Mory, Pompis y Cali P, quienes se encuentran en la canci\u00f3n \u201cAyen Pa Chang\u00e9\u201d. As\u00ed mismo cont\u00f3 con el legendario cantante jamaiquino Johnny Osbourne en (\u201cMany are called\u201d) y con el senegal\u00e9s Meta Dia (\u201cVieux Sage\u201d), as\u00ed como con sus compatriotas Balik de Danakil y Manudigital, con quienes colaboran en \u201cQuel prix\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Con motivo del lanzamiento de su nuevo \u00e1lbum, Tiwony se tom\u00f3 el tiempo para desarrollar una playlist exclusiva para What The France, en la que podr\u00e1s descubrir canciones de artistas como Tonton David, Nuttea, MC Janik, Raggasonic & Supa John, Tipical F\u00e9f\u00e9, Guy Al MC, King Daddy Yod & Real Axe, Straika D, Oliver Stone & Jimmy B, Daddy Pleen, Yaniss Odua, Princess Erika, N\u00e8g’ Marrons, Lyricson, Ti Bob, Admiral T, Profa, E.sy Kennenga, Pix ‘L & Kenyon, Paille & Etana, DJ Gil & LMK, Cephora & Warped, Sista Jahan, Maylan Manaza, Lord Kossity, Cali P, Kenzy & Misi\u00e9 Sadik, Azrock & Kalash, Littl’ Doll, Bamby & Jahyanai King, Meryl, Young Chang MC & T Kimp Gee, Sir Samuel & Fdy Phenomen, Bled Miki, Marginal, Blacko, Rachelle Allison & Lu City, X-Man, Ta\u00ef J, Keyta, Mathieu Ruben & Cless Shine, Corporal Negus, Tuco y de Keros-N.<\/span><\/p>\n
