Passionn\u00e9e par le Japon, elle choisit \u00ab\u00a0Hoshi\u00a0\u00bb comme nom de sc\u00e8ne, un terme qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9toile\u00a0\u00bb en japonais. Tr\u00e8s jeune, elle apprend le piano puis la guitare et commence \u00e0 composer. Elle d\u00e9bute en postant des reprises sur Internet qui lui permettent d\u2019\u00eatre invit\u00e9e \u00e0 participer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9mission \u00ab\u00a0The Voice\u00a0\u00bb. Un label la rep\u00e8re et son premier single, \u00ab\u00a0Comment je vais faire\u00a0\u00bb, sort en 2017. Son premier album, \u00ab\u00a0Il suffit d&rsquo;y croire\u00a0\u00bb, lui vaut d\u2019\u00eatre nomm\u00e9e aux Victoires de la musique. Son album suivant, intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Soleil Levant\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e9crit pendant le confinement, connait un succ\u00e8s imm\u00e9diat.
