Wax Tailor<\/strong> <\/a>vient de d\u00e9voiler son nouvel album Fishing For Accidents<\/em><\/strong>, disponible depuis le 10 f\u00e9vrier 2023, le disque sera accompagn\u00e9 d’une grande tourn\u00e9e Internationale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLe point de d\u00e9part de ce disque, c\u2019est une phrase du r\u00e9alisateur Orson Welles, qui \u00e9voque la notion d\u2019accident dans le processus cr\u00e9atif. J\u2019ai toujours pens\u00e9 que l\u2019accident faisait partie int\u00e9grante de la cr\u00e9ation et que le travail d\u2019un r\u00e9alisateur de films ou de disques c\u2019est aussi de savoir les capturer pour faire de l\u2019accident une intention artistique. J\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de ne pas suivre un concept bien \u00e9tabli mais cette ligne directrice plus instinctive et de partir \u00e0 la p\u00eache aux accidents\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans ce nouvel opus, l\u2019artiste explore avec son sampler un monde de vinyles et de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences cin\u00e9matographiques, brandissant comme \u00e9tendard une culture musicale estampill\u00e9e et multipliant les clins d’oeil au septi\u00e8me art dans une \u00e9criture en 33 tours et 24 images par secondes. Apr\u00e8s le sombre The Shadow Of Their Suns<\/em><\/strong> sorti en 2021, Wax Tailor nous emm\u00e8ne avec Fishing For Accidents<\/em><\/strong>, sur un versant plus lumineux et color\u00e9 sans jamais trahir son univers et ses convictions. D\u00e9fricheur de talents multir\u00e9cidiviste, il r\u00e9unit autour de lui des invit\u00e9s prestigieux allant du hip hop (Mick Jenkins, Mr. Lif, Kuf Knotz, Lojii, Napoleon Da Legend, Ill Conscious, Voice Monet, David Bars, Mattic) \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne Indie rock (Jennifer Charles, chanteuse du l\u00e9gendaire groupe Elysian Fields et Victoria Bigelow). La pochette est sign\u00e9e par l’artiste japonaise Hanako Sa\u00efto (collabroatrice de Tarantino sur \u00ab\u00a0Kill Bill\u00a0\u00bb). Un oeil dans le r\u00e9tro et l\u2019autre sur la ligne d\u2019horizon, Wax Tailor insuffle l’incandescence d\u2019un son organique et distille son art de l\u2019anachronisme sonore dans un grand \u00e9cart assum\u00e9 entre nostalgie et modernit\u00e9.
