Dans le cadre de son cinqui\u00e8me anniversaire, SheSaid.so<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0pr\u00e9sente cette ann\u00e9e le\u00a0MEETSSS. <\/strong><\/a>\u00c0 cette occasion, les membres du r\u00e9seau du monde entier sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 se r\u00e9unir \u00e0 Portim\u00e3o, au Portugal, pour faire vivre leur connexion en ligne et nouer de nouvelles amiti\u00e9s dans l’industrie musicale. Durant ces trois jours auront lieu de nombreux concerts, ouverts au public portugais. L’occasion pour What The France de pr\u00e9senter deux artistes \u00ab\u00a0made in France\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Dope Saint Jude<\/h2>\n

Catherine Saint Jude Pretorius est n\u00e9e au Cap, en Afrique du Sud. Elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 les sciences politiques \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 du Cap. En 2011, elle a fond\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re troupe de drag king d’Afrique du Sud, Saint Dude.\u00a0En 2013, elle quitte le groupe pour apprendre la production sonore et commence une carri\u00e8re comme Dope Saint Jude<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En moins de deux ans, Jude a rapidement acquis une popularit\u00e9 internationale grace \u00e0 sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 s’adresser \u00e0 divers publics par le biais du hip-hop. Drag King, productrice, rappeuse, difficile de mettre Dope Saint Jude dans un genre. Avec son album Resilient<\/strong><\/em>, elle nous offre un rap aux influences grunge. Elle s’inspire d’artistes comme Tupac et Riot Grrrl, mais cite aussi des influences disparates comme Queen et Tracy Chapman.<\/p>\n

Calling Marian<\/h2>\n

Musicologue de formation, Calling Marian<\/strong><\/a> se tourne vers le deejaying d\u00e8s 2013. R\u00e9sidente dans les principales soir\u00e9es LGBTQ\u00a0lyonnaises, elle y d\u00e9veloppe un go\u00fbt musical \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de divers univers, \u00e0 la fois percutant et dansant, mais aussi planant et harmonique. Elle pr\u00e9sente un premier EP autoproduit en 2015, 199X<\/strong><\/em>. Dans le m\u00eame temps, elle commence \u00e0 se produire en concert et d\u00e9veloppe pleinement son potentiel de performance et de composition.
\nFin 2017, sort son deuxi\u00e8me EP,\u00a0The Parade<\/em>. R\u00e9solument techno et \u00e9mouvant, empreint de touches acides et de m\u00e9lodies nostalgiques, The Parade<\/em> est salu\u00e9 par la presse.<\/p>\n
