Pourriez-vous vous pr\u00e9senter en quelques mots, vous et votre style musical ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Je m&rsquo;appelle Asa, je suis une chanteuse et compositrice nig\u00e9riane qui m\u00e9lange musique folk et pop. Mes chansons parlent de l&rsquo;amour, des gens et de comment changer le monde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WTF : Vous \u00eates n\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris mais n&rsquo;y \u00eates rest\u00e9 que 2 ans avant le retour de votre famille au Nigeria. Puis en 2004, vous\u00a0\u00eates\u00a0revenu en France o\u00f9 votre carri\u00e8re musicale a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9coller. Vous d\u00e9cririez-vous comme une chanteuse fran\u00e7aise ou\u00a0nig\u00e9rienne\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ma carri\u00e8re a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 Lagos, d&rsquo;o\u00f9 je viens, et je me sens tr\u00e8s proche de mes racines nig\u00e9rianes. Cela dit, Paris a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le tr\u00e8s important dans ma carri\u00e8re et je consid\u00e8re cette ville comme une r\u00e9sidence secondaire. Passer du temps \u00e0 Paris a vraiment fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 ma musique et m&rsquo;a attir\u00e9 une attention internationale. Cela m&rsquo;a vraiment ouvert un monde de diversit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WTF : Votre quatri\u00e8me album<em> Lucid<\/em>, sorti en octobre, parle surtout d&rsquo;amour. Quel message vouliez-vous faire passer ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour<em> Lucid<\/em>, je me suis inspir\u00e9e de mes propres exp\u00e9riences d&rsquo;amour. Mais plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9crire des chansons parce que j&rsquo;avais ce sentiment de ne pas \u00eatre seule : mon but est toujours de parler pour les autres.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WTF : Vous voyagez beaucoup entre l&rsquo;Europe, l&rsquo;Afrique et l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique. En quoi cela vous inspire-t-il dans vos chansons ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, se produire dans le monde entier est un r\u00eave. Il y a quelques mois, je suis all\u00e9 en Am\u00e9rique et j&rsquo;ai travers\u00e9 le pays de Nashville \u00e0 New York. J&rsquo;ai vraiment puis\u00e9 mon inspiration dans l&rsquo;\u00e9coute de chansons pop am\u00e9ricaines \u00e0 la radio tout au long du voyage. Quand je suis \u00e0 Paris, je suis inspir\u00e9e par des faits tr\u00e8s de la vie quotidienne, j&rsquo;aime capturer les moments, car l&rsquo;\u00e9criture est le meilleur moyen que j&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des souvenirs. Je chante parfois mieux quand c&rsquo;est une impulsion tr\u00e8s spontan\u00e9e que dans un studio d&rsquo;enregistrement !<\/p>\n<p><strong>WTF : Vous avez d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait le tour du monde pour votre dernier album<em> Bed of Stone<\/em>. Adaptez-vous votre spectacle \u00e0 vos diff\u00e9rents publics ? Comment ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Je suis toujours tr\u00e8s \u00e9mue quand je me rends compte que des gens de pays tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents connaissent mes chansons : \u00e7a me rappelle que la musique n&rsquo;a pas de fronti\u00e8re !
