D\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 de la Covid-19 \u00e0 Paris le 24 mars 2020, le saxophoniste et chanteur Manu Dibango<\/a><\/strong> laisse dans son sillage une \u0153uvre monumentale intemporelle qui aura marqu\u00e9 les esprits pour toujours, mais \u00e9galement influenc\u00e9 toute une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u2019artistes africains tributaire de son immense h\u00e9ritage culturel. Le single \u00ab\u00a0Di Ma Tungu\u00e8\u00a0\u00bb, paru ce 24 mars, est un poignant hommage \u00e0 l\u2019auteur du classique \u00ab\u00a0Soul Makossa\u00a0\u00bb, sur lequel la chanteuse Val\u00e9rie \u00c9koum\u00e8<\/strong> s\u2019associe avec plusieurs autres artistes de la diaspora africaine\u00a0en la personne de Flavia Coelho, Charlotte Dipanda, Kareyce Fotso et James BKS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Install\u00e9 en France depuis 1965, Manu Dibango \u00e9tait l\u2019un des plus grands ambassadeurs de la musique africaine \u00e0 travers le monde et un pionnier de la \u00ab\u00a0world music\u00a0\u00bb. Au fil des collaborations et des rencontres, le saxophoniste avait tiss\u00e9 des liens forts entre musiques et cultures qui se sont av\u00e9r\u00e9s essentiels au d\u00e9cloisonnement des musiques africaines et \u00e0 leur av\u00e8nement sur la sc\u00e8ne artistique mondiale. V\u00e9ritable pr\u00e9curseur, il s’\u00e9tait attir\u00e9 les \u00e9loges des plus grands musiciens \u00e0 travers le globe. Val\u00e9rie \u00c9koum\u00e8, qui l\u2019a c\u00f4toy\u00e9 de tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s au cours de sa carri\u00e8re au sein des groupes Maraboutik Big Band et SMG, livre ici un puissant hommage \u00e0 son ami avec ce nouveau titre, qui parait exactement un an jour pour jour apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9c\u00e8s du regrett\u00e9 roi de la musique africaine. \u00c0 l’aide de son fid\u00e8le complice Guy Nwogang<\/strong>, batteur attitr\u00e9 des formations de Manu Dibango, le tandem poursuit ainsi l\u2019\u0153uvre de ce dernier, avec le renfort notable de son fils James BKS, qui salue la m\u00e9moire de son g\u00e9niteur avec lequel il a pu partager sept ans d\u2019aventures musicales. P\u00e8re et fils avaient notamment collabor\u00e9 ensemble sur le single \u00ab\u00a0Kwele\u00a0\u00bb, qu\u2019on retrouvera sur le premier album de James BKS, attendu pour le mois d\u2019avril prochain.<\/p>\n
