Son deuxi\u00e8me album, tr\u00e8s justement nomm\u00e9\u00a0<strong><em>Navegar<\/em><\/strong>, est un voyage vers le soleil, suivant les chemins myst\u00e9rieux de l&rsquo;Atlantique noir, en partant du lieu de naissance de Jo\u00e3o au\u00a0<em>Nordeste<\/em>\u00a0du Br\u00e9sil. En chemin, l&rsquo;artiste rend visite aux Cara\u00efbes, au Cap-Vert et \u00e0 l&rsquo;Angola, suivant les rythmes irr\u00e9sistibles du forr\u00f3, du kompa, du funan\u00e1 ou du semba et d\u00e9couvrant les liens culturels entre ces lieux.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Espoir et optimisme<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Les paroles sont porteuses d&rsquo;un message de r\u00e9silience et de tol\u00e9rance face \u00e0 la situation socio-politique difficile du Br\u00e9sil. Des chansons comme \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Tudo vai dar p\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Camar\u00e1<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb sont en quelque sorte des odes \u00e0 la confiance que des temps meilleurs vont arriver. Mais beaucoup de textes parlent aussi d&rsquo;amour, parfois sous sa forme physique comme \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Devagar<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Meu Mondo<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, ou encore sous une forme universelle comme \u00ab\u00a0<strong>Meu mano<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb avec la chanteuse invit\u00e9e Flavia Coelho.
