On y croise \u00e0 la fois des sons r\u00e9tro et un synth\u00e9 futuriste, avec un assortiment de musiques indie, pop et rock, le tout enregistr\u00e9 par l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nieur Alexis Berthelot, laur\u00e9at d&rsquo;un Grammy Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BRNS - Money (Official Video Clip)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Y36-B4S1-1s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Un an apr\u00e8s la cr\u00e9ation du groupe, lorsque BRNS a sorti son premier single,<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u00ab\u00a0Mexico\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>, en 2011, le succ\u00e8s a \u00e9t\u00e9 instantan\u00e9. La formation a ensuite livr\u00e9 l\u2019EP<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><i>Wounded<\/i><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0(2012), puis l\u2019<\/span>album<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><em><b>Patine<\/b><\/em><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>(2014), qui d\u00e9gageait une \u00e9tonnante maturit\u00e9 pour une premi\u00e8re sortie. Sur<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><em>Celluloid Swamp,<\/em><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00e0 partir d\u2019une<\/span> base typique de rock et de pop, c&rsquo;est surtout la voix de la chanteuse Nele De Gussem et l&rsquo;inflexion R&amp;B du batteur et chanteur Timoth\u00e9e Philippe qui s\u2019\u00e9loignent de leur style habituel et prennent ici une nouvelle direction.<\/p>\n<p>Les dix titres de<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><i>Celluloid Swamp<\/i><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>sont n\u00e9s dans la spontan\u00e9it\u00e9. Ils sont le r\u00e9sultat d&rsquo;un road trip de sept jours \u00e0 travers New York et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s au Studio G \u00e0 Brooklyn avec l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nieur du son Alexis Berthelot, connu pour ses collaborations avec Moses Sumney, Sunwatchers, Marc Ribot ou Frank Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;une part, le son des BRNS est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par des claviers, une basse (<strong>Antoine Meersseman<\/strong>) et une guitare (<strong>Diego Leyder<\/strong>), et d&rsquo;autre part, leur musique est libre de toute inhibition de genre et offre ainsi un espace dans lequel l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation est possible.<\/p>\n<p>La pochette, con\u00e7ue en 3D par l&rsquo;artiste visuel<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>Monsieur Pimpant<\/strong>, explore une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 parall\u00e8le : un monde impr\u00e9gn\u00e9 de couleurs \u00e9tranges et de bonnes ondes psych\u00e9d\u00e9liques.
