V\u00e9ritable ic\u00f4ne de la sc\u00e8ne reggae et ragga francophone, Nuttea<\/a><\/strong> (\u00e9galement connu sous le nom de Daddy Nuttea), de son vrai nom Olivier Lara, est un artiste de fran\u00e7ais n\u00e9 le 26 d\u00e9cembre 1968 en Guadeloupe. Il s\u2019installe \u00e0 Paris \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de six ans et fait ses d\u00e9buts \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1980 au sein du sound system High Fight International<\/strong>, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d\u2019autres chanteurs tels que F\u00e9f\u00e9 Typical<\/strong> ou les regrett\u00e9s Tonton David<\/strong> et Don Lickshot<\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s deux apparitions remarqu\u00e9es sur la compilation Rapatittude 2<\/em> en 1992 et le lancement du sound system Stand Tall<\/strong>, il enregistre son premier album, Paris-Kingston-Paris<\/strong><\/em>. Pour ce disque fondateur, paru en 1993, Nuttea fait notamment appel aux jama\u00efcains du groupe Firehouse Crew<\/strong> et au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre duo de producteurs Steely & Clevie<\/strong>, ces derniers collaboreront \u00e9galement avec lui l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante sur son E.P Volume 1<\/strong><\/em>. Quatre ans plus tard, il sort l\u2019album Retour aux sources<\/strong><\/em>, sur lequel il invite le jama\u00efquain General Degree pour le duo \u00ab\u00a0Who dem a try fi test\u00a0\u00bb, ainsi que Richie Stephens, avec lequel il accouche d\u2019une adaptation du titre \u00ab\u00a0Natural Mystic\u00a0\u00bb de Bob Marley. En parall\u00e8le, il multiplie les collaborations avec le groupe IAM, invit\u00e9 sur le titre \u00ab\u00a0La 25e image\u00a0\u00bb, inspir\u00e9 du film multir\u00e9compens\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0La haine\u00a0\u00bb (1995) de Mathieu Kassovitz, puis sur leur album L’\u00c9cole du micro d’argent<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 (1996), certifi\u00e9 Disque De Diamant avec plus de 1\u00a0700\u00a0000 ventes.<\/p>\n

En 2000, il livre l\u2019opus Un signe du temps<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0, qui connait un succ\u00e8s important sur les radios fran\u00e7aises avec les singles \u00ab\u00a0Elle te rend dingue (Poom poom short)\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0Trop peu de temps \u00ab\u00a0, on peut \u00e9galement y entendre le chanteur jama\u00efquain Luciano<\/strong> qui participe au titre \u00ab\u00a0The key\u00a0\u00bb, ce disque s\u2019\u00e9coulera \u00e0 plus de 700\u00a0000 exemplaires. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, Nuttea participe \u00e9galement \u00e0 la bande originale du film \u00ab\u00a0Taxi 2\u00a0\u00bb (2000), certifi\u00e9e Disque d\u2019Or, au sein du collectif One Shot aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Disiz La Peste, Faf Larage, Jalane, Ta\u00efro et Vasquez du groupe Less du Neuf. En 2001, il enregistre un single avec le groupe anglais UB40, intitul\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Cover up\u00a0\u00bb, suivi des albums\u00a0Urban Voodoo<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2004), o\u00f9 il invite le prestigieux chanteur jama\u00efquain Beres Hammond sur le titre \u00ab\u00a0Femme\u00a0\u00bb, et \u00ab\u00a0Mister Reggae Music\u00a0\u00bb (2013) avec la participation du jama\u00efquain Demarco et du chanteur fran\u00e7ais Balik du groupe Danakil. Il retrouve le groupe IAM<\/strong> en 2017, sur le titre \u00a0\u00bb Terre aride\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9sent sur leur album R\u00eavolution<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0, avant de faire paraitre les singles \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019interview\u00a0\u00bb avec le journaliste Olivier Cachin et \u00ab\u00a0Pull up selecta\u00a0\u00bb (2018). En 2021, Nutteasignait son retour avec le single \u00ab\u00a0Network\u00a0\u00bb en duo avec l\u2019artiste fran\u00e7ais Kenyon, il pr\u00e9pare actuellement la sortie de son nouvel album attendu pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine et vient de livrer un tout nouveau single, produit par le label fran\u00e7ais Irie Ites, sur lequel il partage le micro avec deux c\u00e9l\u00e8bres v\u00e9t\u00e9rans jama\u00efquains\u00a0: King Kong et Beenie Man<\/strong> (notamment gagnant d\u2019un Grammy Award en 2001).<\/p>\n
