Tiwony<\/a><\/strong> est un chanteur de reggae et de dancehall fran\u00e7ais, n\u00e9 en Guadeloupe. Il est aussi le fils du bassiste Vicky Edimo. Il fait ses d\u00e9buts aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du collectif Influence Sound, avant de rejoindre Blackwarell Sound avec lequel il remporte le Championnat Maff\u00e9 des Sound Systems en 2003. Depuis l\u2019artiste s’est construit une solide discographie, il se fait d\u2019abord remarquer sur la bande originale du film \u00ab Ma 6-T va craquer \u00bb\u00a0en 1997, pour laquelle il a re\u00e7u un Single d\u2019Or avec son titre \u00ab\u00a0Pas de timinik\u00a0\u00bb. En 2002, \u00a0il est r\u00e9compens\u00e9 par le Prix Sacem Guadeloupe pour son titre \u00ab\u00a0Jah B\u00e9ni Yo\u00a0\u00bb. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, il s\u2019associe avec le v\u00e9t\u00e9ran Typical F\u00e9f\u00e9 sur l\u2019album Double Trouble<\/em>, puis sur l\u2019opus Revolution<\/em>,\u00a0qui contient le single \u00ab\u00a0Jamais Le Mal\u00a0Ne L\u2019emporte\u00bb, \u00e9galement prim\u00e9 aux Prix Sacem Guadeloupe en 2005. En solo, il livre l\u2019album \u00a0Fly<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 (2007), suivi de Viv La Vi\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(2009), Cit\u00e9 Soleil<\/strong> <\/em>\u00a0(2011), Dif\u00e9 Lyrical<\/strong><\/em> (2012) et Roots Rebel<\/strong><\/em> (2014). Tiwony sera \u00e9galement r\u00e9compens\u00e9 aux Victoires du Reggae en 2012 et 2013, avant de remporter le troph\u00e9e du meilleur artiste Reggae aux Hit Lokal Awards en 2018.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s lui avoir permis de sillonner l\u2019Outre-mer et l\u2019Hexagone, sa musique l\u2019am\u00e8nera \u00e9galement \u00e0 se produire sur le continent africain. Il a notamment jou\u00e9 en 2006 \u00e0 Kampala (Ouganda), en 2007 \u00e0 Addis Abeba (Ethiopie), en 2008 au Gabon devant 80 000 personnes ou encore en 2011 en Guin\u00e9e Conakry. En marge de sa carri\u00e8re d\u2019artiste, il s\u2019investi aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d’associations caritatives, parmi lesquelles on peut citer le projet avec les enfants de Thiaroye au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal ou World for Tchad pour la construction de puits au Tchad, mais aussi l\u2019aide \u00e0 la scolarit\u00e9 pour des enfants de l’\u00eele de Gor\u00e9e (S\u00e9n\u00e9gal) ou Dr\u00e9paction qui \u0153uvre pour la lutte contre la dr\u00e9panocytose.<\/p>\n

En 2023, Tiwony c\u00e9l\u00e8bre ses 25 ans de carri\u00e8re<\/strong> avec la sortie de son nouvel album, baptis\u00e9 Frequency<\/em><\/strong>, disponible depuis le 28 avril 2023 sur le label 7 Seals. Sur ce projet, il a invit\u00e9 plusieurs artistes proches, tels que Ta\u00efro, Lord Kossity, Daddy Mory, Pompis et Cali P qu\u2019on peut retrouver sur le titre \u00ab\u00a0Ayen Pa Chang\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, mais aussi le l\u00e9gendaire chanteur jama\u00efcain Johnny Osbourne (\u00ab Many are called\u00a0\u00bb) ou le s\u00e9n\u00e9galais Meta Dia (\u00ab\u00a0Vieux Sage\u00a0\u00bb), ainsi que ses compatriotes Balik de Danakil et Manudigital avec lesquels ils collabore sur le morceau \u00ab\u00a0Quel prix\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
