Du 27 f\u00e9vrier au 27 juillet 2025 l\u2019Institut du Monde Arabe de Tourcoing accueille l\u2019exposition \u201cYA RAYI\u00a0! \u2013 Une histoire de la musique ra\u00ef\u201d, dont le CNM est partenaire.<\/p>\n

En produisant la premi\u00e8re exposition consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la musique ra\u00ef, l\u2019IMA-Tourcoing souhaite rendre l\u2019hommage mus\u00e9al n\u00e9cessaire et indispensable \u00e0 cet \u00e9lan musical qui a transcend\u00e9 les barri\u00e8res sociales, g\u00e9ographiques et culturelles pour devenir au fil du XXe un patrimoine commun. N\u00e9 dans l\u2019intimit\u00e9 des familles, au d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, en opposition aux rigidit\u00e9s sociales et politiques, le ra\u00ef est consacr\u00e9 au patrimoine culturel immat\u00e9riel de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 en 2022, ce qui l\u2019a remis sur le devant de la sc\u00e8ne et ce qui nous rappelle qu\u2019il est l\u2019une des expressions populaires majeures de notre \u00e9poque.<\/p>\n

Le ra\u00ef a franchi la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e dans les bagages des immigr\u00e9s alg\u00e9riens venus s\u2019installer en France, notamment dans les Hauts-de-France. Au fil du temps, et port\u00e9 par des artistes dont la renomm\u00e9e va devenir internationale, il s\u2019affranchit \u00e9galement les fronti\u00e8res des communaut\u00e9s et s\u2019int\u00e9gre \u00e0 notre culture partag\u00e9e. Car retracer l\u2019histoire du ra\u00ef, c\u2019est un peu retracer l\u2019histoire commune entre l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et la France. Chahut\u00e9 par les vississitudes de l\u2019histoire, la colonisation, la guerre d\u2019Ind\u00e9pendance, la d\u00e9cennie noire notamment, il parvient peu \u00e0 peu \u00e0 r\u00e9unir les peuples autour d\u2019aspirations communes : la soif de modernit\u00e9, l\u2019insoumission, l\u2019amour et surtout la f\u00eate.<\/p>\n

En pr\u00e9sentant des objets ayant appartenu aux stars du ra\u00ef, des archives audiovisuelles in\u00e9dites et en d\u00e9ployant des dispositifs de m\u00e9diation innovants et immersifs, c\u2019est aux souvenirs de tout \u00e0 chacun, aux m\u00e9moires familiales et aux parcours de migration que cette exposition fait \u00e9cho. Inscrite dans le cadre de la biennale de lille3000, dont la th\u00e9matique est \u00ab Fiesta ! \u00bb, cette manifestation unique se veut un grand moment de partage autour de ce qui forc\u00e9ment rassemble : la musique et l\u2019amiti\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Une programmation pluridiciplinaire accompagnera l\u2019exposition \u00ab Ya Rayi\u00a0! \u00bb et aura pour ambition de faire (re)d\u00e9couvrir le r\u00e9pertoire ra\u00ef et ce qu\u2019il dit des cultures alg\u00e9riennes et des passerelles entre les deux rives de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e \u00e0 travers des concerts bien s\u00fbr mais aussi des conf\u00e9rences, ateliers ou encore des actions envers le jeune public.<\/p>\n

What the France vous invite \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir la playlist officielle de l\u2019exposition qui regroupe\u00a0 quelques-uns des titres les plus \u00e9mbl\u00e9matiques du ra\u00ef depuis ses d\u00e9buts jusqu\u2019\u00e0 nos jours.
