The organization « Centre national de la musique » will be referred hereinafter as « CNM ».

The URL whatthefrance.org (hereinafter reffered as the “website”) are under exclusive ownership of CNM.
CNM edits a multilingual website aiming at sharing music news from France to a foreign audience. It is available in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
All content (text, sound, image, software, logo, brands, creations, databases, etc.) published on whatthefrance.org as well as CNM site is protected in compliance with the provisions of French law and international conventions relating to Intellectual Property, especially articles L.122-4 and L.122-5 of the Intellectual Property Code.
Subject to the provisions in Articles L.122-5, L.211-3 and L.342-3 of the Intellectual Property Code, and the different conditions of use determined by free licences when content is identified as coming under such a licence, any reproduction and/or communication to the public of all or part of such content is subject to licensing.

Collected data are only consulted by CNM’s team – in-house employee or external workers. Collected data are used to help fulfil CNM’s mission.

The length of data retention is 3 years after an individual’s unsubscription to the newsletter.

In accordance with the law on Informatics and Liberties n°78-17 issued on the 6th January 1978 and modified by the law n°2004-801 of the 6th August 2004, the collection and automated processing of personal data are being registered to Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) – an independent French administrative regulatory body whose mission is to ensure that data privacy law is applied to the collection, storage, and use of personal data.
Le CNM is represented by Mr. Jean-Philippe THIELLAY, as President. He is responsible of the processing of collected data by le CNM on this website.

Right to Access, Modify, Object and Delete Data
In accordance with the law on Informatics and Liberties n°78-17 issued on the 6th January 1978 and modified by the law n°2004-801 of the 6th August 2004, each individual has the right to access, modify, object and delete its personal data at any time. Articles 38, 39 and 40 of the aforementioned law detail the conditions of this right. The aforementioned rights expire at the individual’s death. However, you are aware that in application of article 40-1 of the law n°78-17 of the 6th January 1878 and modified by the law n°2004-801 of the 6th August 2004, you have the right to define guidelines to the processing of your personal data after your death. Without any guidelines or opposing mentions in your guidelines, your personal data will be deleted at your death, at the behest of your successors. You can also chose to communicate or not these data to other persons, designated by you.
