Gabi Hartmann | A new EP and an exclusive playlist!
While in New York in 2018, French singer-songwriter and guitarist Gabi Hartmann caught the attention of Jesse Harris, a producer renowned for his work with Norah Jones and Melody Gardot. Three years after this encounter, the artist was releasing her debut EP, entitled Always Seem to Get Things Wrong and followed in 2023 by an eponymous debut album that reached the number-one spot in France’s jazz album sales chart and has since racked up over 20,000,000 streams. On top of this, Hartmann has performed live across France and worldwide, including dates in Turkey, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Luxembourg and Japan, and just over two months ago, she unveiled her latest EP, Little Song Lines.
To accompany this release, Gabi Hartmann has taken the time to put together an exclusive playlist for What the France, on which she brings together some of her own songs as well as several of her made-in-France favourites, including tracks by Pauline Mann, Ignacio Maria Gomez, Oracle Sisters, Dafné Kritharas, Moh Kouyaté, Flavien Berger, Voyou ft. Vanessa Paradis, Murman Tsuladze, Etienne Champollion ft. Inès Desorages, November Ultra, Antonin, Papooz, Putumayo ft. Piers Faccini, La Femme and Feu! Chatterton.
