French rapper Hippocampe Fou, whose real name is Sébastien Gonzalez, has just released his new album, Présent, on 1 November, following the release of the single Respire, a duet with his sister Anaïs.
His musical career began with the group La Secte Phonétik, in which he played from 2007 to 2010. Six years later, Hippocampe Fou recorded the opus Pas pour les jeunes, before presenting the following year his first immersive show and soundtrack, ‘L’Odyssée d’Hippo’, a fusion of music, cinema and live performance. In 2023, he was named the French rapper with the most diverse vocabulary in Rap Minerz’s study of the vocabulary of rap & rnb artists. Since his debut, Hippocampe Fou has collaborated with a host of artists including Puppetmastaz, Dooz Kawa, Hugo Délire, Vincha, PV Nova, Lucio Bukowski and Yoshi Di Original.
