Gims | On tour in the US in November
Gandhi Djuna, better known by his stage name Gims, is a French rapper, composer and producer. Famous for more than a decade in France and Europe, Gims will be on tour in the U.S in November 2019 and will perform in New-York City at Terminal 5 on November, 8th.
About Gims
Gims’ music is influenced by hip-hop, dance music with pop and latino twists. Coming from a musical family, his father was Djuna Djanana, a vocalist of Papa Wemba’s band. Gims’ brother Dadju is a member of the group The Shin Sekaï.
After few years in a famous rap band «Sexion d’Assaut», he released in 2013 his first solo album called Subliminal and sold over a million copies
This album is followed by two others, Mon coeur avait raison in 2015 with the song “Est-ce que tu m’aimes?” which reached number one in Italy FIMI and number 3 in France SNEP and was a popular hit throughout several European countries after its release.
With Ceinture Noire in 2018, Gims offers us something out of the ordinary, with 40 tracks on the album and several featurings, including one with the american rapper Lil Wayne, called «Corazón».
