Rakoon | Back with a new album and an exclusive playlist for What the France!
Over the years, Rakoon has broken free from stereotypes and codes, like artists like Thylacine and Fakear, to craft his own unique sound. This singularity has allowed him to amass tens of millions of streams and build a committed community around his approach.
Both intimate and universal, his hybrid electronic music reveals a touchingly honest emotion, oscillating between nostalgia and hope. Through catchy melodies and meticulous production, he writes the soundtrack to the defining moments of our lives.
His fourth album is available since last September 12th. Called Serendipity, it perfectly defines the essence of his timeless style, which has evolved over the years without ever losing its original character. His ambition: to connect all the paths taken. With his machines and his guitar, Rakoon transforms each concert into a unifying moment mixing introspective experience and collective joy, where everyone’s stories converge to write a new one. In parallel with a tour across France, the release party for his album at the Élysée Montmartre on November 6, 2025 is already shaping up to be a moment of grandiose sharing with his community.
In the meantime, Rakoon took the time to put together an exclusive playlist for What the France, bringing together some of his made in France favorites. The program includes tracks by Sumac Dub & Anita Dongilli, Luxie, Solar Project & Pat Kalla, Biga*Ranx, Jacques, Makoto San, Canp Claude & Diane Sagnier, JOUBe, Ouai Stéphane, Superdream & Clem Beatz, Les Gordon, THK & Killa P, Mon Cher Guy, Mokado, Pausé, Romane Santarelli, The Toxic Avenger, You Man, Thylacine, Diskay, 15 15, Fakear, Mahom, Calling Marian, Whim Therapy & Jim Bauer & Cheb Didier, Roszalie, ATOEM, Irène Drésel, Seephar or Rivière Monk.
