Vanessa Wagner | A surprising marriage of classical and electronic music
Vanessa Wagner is an innovator: having had classical training, the musician has opened herself up to exploring the possible meeting points between classical and electronic music.
New album Inland
The title of her new album, Inland, references John Cage‘s Imaginary Landscape (1939), one of the earliest electronic music works. It’s no accident that this album is being released on the InFiné label, which is well known for it’s electronic releases. The intimate dialogue between the artist, the piano and machines produces extended melancholy harmonies.
On this album, she reinterprets carefully selected pieces from internationally renowned composers in her own way and drawing on her own influences.
Concert in November in Berlin
Vanessa Wagner will be performing on 18th November at the l’Institut Français in Berlin.
