In this new episode of our “Live Shot” series, meet Woody. What the France interviewed her following her performance on the BISE Festival stage.

A Franco-British pop artist, she embraces the traditions of her genre by choosing to write and sing in English, like many before her. Passionate about vocal technique, she uses her voice like an instrument and prepares meticulously for each of her concerts. She has a dream: to make her life experiences and powerful voice resonate in stadiums one day — much like an athlete stepping onto the field.

At the start of her career, she approaches each song like a letter written for others, expressing her intimacy and emotional overflow. With her single “Mental Rest” released in February, the artist is entering a new era. In it, she opens up about the place everyone must find in this world and the feeling of being in-between that she experiences, particularly as a woman.

Despite the pressures and expectations of today’s media landscape, she keeps her mission in mind: touching people’s hearts.
