Charles Aznavour, born Charles Aznavourian in Paris and died in 2018, was a French-Armenian singer-songwriter, actor and writer. During his musical career, which began in the 1940s, he recorded almost 1,200 songs performed in several languages (French, English, Italian, Spanish, German, Armenian, Kabyle...). His greatest hits include "La bohème", "Emmenez-moi", "Hier encore", "For me formidable" and "Je m'voyais déjà". An international artist since his first concert at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1963, he has performed on stages the world over. Charles Aznavour is considered an "ambassador of French chanson throughout the world".
