Stromae | Santé
With ‘Santé’, Stromae gives a vibrant toast to the working people who do the jobs that are often uncelebrated but keep our world spinning, while everyone around is enjoying their time. Over a catchy South American, cumbia-inspired rhythm, interwoven with cheerful electro influences, his tribute twirls from sincere emotion to caustic irony: master of his craft, the singer skillfully inserts little skits that are both funny and thought provoking. The plays on words and his vocal range only amplify the accuracy of the situations described, and the call for a more inclusive party —joy and respect for everyone, as much in the club as in the workplace.
About
Stromae, whose real name is Paul Van Haver, is a Belgian artist born on March 12, 1985 in Etterbeek. It was in 2010, with his song 'Alors on danse', that he had his first success. With his second album Racine Carrée released in 2013, he showcased his style in the French-language music scene and became an icon. Electronic rhythms, serious subjects, and great care given to aesthetics... This is the Stromae style! He made his big musical comeback in 2021 with the album 'Multitudes'. He performed his track 'L'enfer' during the 8 p.m. news. A real achievement.
