Major Lazer | New collaboration with Brazilian pop artist Anitta
In June 2019, Major Lazer and Brazilian star Anitta released « Make It Hot », a featuring that already has more than 6 million of views on Youtube.
It’s the second collaboration between the two artists: Major Lazer released “Sua Cara”, featuring Anitta and the Brazilian artists Pabllo Vittar in July 2017. The track was one of the most played in Brazil in 2017 and broke the world record of views in 24h on YouTube. « Sua Cara » received an indication to the Latin Grammy 2018 within the « Best Urban Fusion/Performance Urban » category. Today, the single has more than 458 million of views on YouTube.
If the Brazilians listen mainly national music, Made in France electronic music is present on Brazilian musical landscape. Within the « Made in France » artists that stand out, Major Lazer has a good audience in Brazil. São Paulo is the third town that listen the most the artist on Spotify. In 2018, « Lean On » (DJ Snake feat. MØ) remained 25 weeks on Top 200 Brazilian airplays (10 weeks on Top 100) and “Cold Water” (feat Justin Bieber & MØ) 19 weeks on Top 200 Brazilian airplays (6 weeks on Top 100).
This new collaboration with Anitta enables Major Lazer to settle in Brazil, being the first music market in South America.
