Through the lyrics of his song, the artist talks about overconsumption and its damage, such as the overexploitation of man or the disappearance of natural resources.

Céphaz was born in Ghana. At the age of 10, he was adopted by a French couple. He was influenced by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Jacques Brel and Maxime Le Forestier, but soon found his own style. At the age of 25, he decided to launch his solo career and released his very first single, "Depuis toi", which surpassed one million views on YouTube within a few months. In 2021, Céphaz unveiled his second single, entitled "On a mangé le soleil". On a catchy pop-folk tune, the singer denounces overconsumption. He was one of twelve candidates selected to take part in "Eurovision France, c'est vous qui décidez". He sang "On a mangé le soleil" in a bid to represent France at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
