Blick Bassy | Mádibá tour

Having celebrated the theme of water through a captivating combination of a falsetto voice, brass instruments and electronic elements on his latest LP – entitled Mádibá (meaning “water” in his native Basaa language) and released by French label InFiné – Cameroonian singer-songwriter Blick Bassy is now set to embark on a world tour in 2024, with several dates already lined up for France, Germany, the UK and the US.

Each track on Bassy’s new record sees him take on the role of a different being as he looks to address the topic of water through its scarcity, its power and its existential necessity. With this expression of such a major social concern coming at the same time as approximately two billion people around the world lack regular access to clean water, a portion of the profits generated by the album will be donated to Water.org, an NGO striving to make drinking water accessible to the world.
